Following the great success of July’s planning meeting I’m refusing to learn from experience.

The next organising meeting of the east London Latin America group will be on Thursday 7 September at 7pm in the Praxis Centre, Pott Street, London E2. It’s about 200 yards from Bethnal Green tube. The idea is to organise a series of meetings both to allow for serious discussion of what’s happening and to develop real solidarity. Anyone’s welcome who’s willing to put in the graft as well as pontificate about what they need to be doing over there.

Jeremy Dear is speaking on October 10th on the TUC delegtation to Venezuela. John Mc Donnell, as president of Hands Off Venezueala and George Galloway on Cuba in November. Tariq Ali’s office has said he can do a meeting on the aftermath of the Venezuelan elections in December. I’m hunting around for someone to talk about Mexico and Brazil. Any sensible suggestions are welcome.
