Here are the details of an event that Tower Hamlets Respect is organising for Black History Month. There’s a pretty groovy (as young people say, I think) poster for it too but I don’t know how to put up PDFs. It clashes with our SR event with the SSP but you can’t dance at every wedding.
The RESPECT Group of councillors invites you to celebrate Black History Month with a special screening of the film ‘Strange Fruit’, the extraordinary story of the anthem of the Civil Rights movement made famous by Billie Holiday, followed by a discussion with George Galloway MP.
Friday 27th October at 7pm
