Contrary to the experience of many of the readers of this site sexual activity need not always be solitary. Each year the Fourth International has a youth camp. The article below is taken from issue one of the camp newspaper. It advises young people on what they need to know if they get better acquainted with each other . I haven’t changed a word.Banner1

Thanks to Keith for the scan on Cuba which is pretty entertaining too.

Bring together 500 young revolutionists of all Europe, in a place closed in full summer. To take pleasure? You want of it but you do not know yet ; how that will occur, if the heterosexual reports will be soaked with sexism than in your life of every days This had to be said, between revolutionists!

For opening out reports and a maximum catch of pleasure without doubts nor risks, there are sexual tools hyper. The first element is to fight presupposed that the system policies encrusted in our heads, until our ass. For that it is important to speak about sex most freely possible: to know its desires, to discuss, understand of it that the sex as it is political… in light to dilate its spirit at the same time as its bottom.

The hood is the only means of stopping the AIDS. Lubricated well, it will be able to return in any opening according to the desires One will be able to place it with the hands or the mouth.

The female condom consists of a matter which transmits much more heat that the latex. There is almost no chance that it crash and its external ring rubs the clitoris (hmmmmmm!). It is enough to place it and await 30 min that it is fixed. And it left for 8h pleasure!

To eat an ass or a pussy, it is enough to use a dam (right-angled latex has to apply with gel ) or a hood cut in the direction length to apply the side lubricated to the vagina or the anus. One places it on the zone so much desired with a little freezing between it and the opening and it left: our languages muscular of militant can act differently. Obviously, a hood by opening and partner. And if I do not want to kiss?

The sexual release is not to set up a against-standard where everyone kisses together It is to respect its desires and the desires of the others. One inevitably does not want to kiss, one can want to build other reports that reports of seduction. One can want to hold his she-cat with his own fingers. Like said it Marx *: when, how, with which, with how much: it is me which knows if I want or not; it is me which decides if I make or not! >>

  1. Where the pics to help understand “right-angled latex has to apply with gel”?

Honestly, in my yoof when attending 4th International sex, sex, sex, sun and some socialism jamborees there was nothing like this. Well, it was between the late 80s/early 90s and probably nobody could be arsed to cut and paste a camp newspaper.

All the camp did when I attended was to give out free condoms. Great when you are 17…

    Ah, the memories.

Actually, what would be helpful if they did provide a guide in “helpful hints in sticking up your tent” and “what to do when a freak storm collapses your tent”…Or even “what to do when a comrade falls down a mini hill and breaks his ankle esp. if he is from a another faction (hiss boo)”… Comradely concern or leave him there……

  2. I assumed this was, despite what you write, some kind of joke. But then I looked at that scan. The camp “is the only expiry of this type in the world”.

Am I correct in thinking that the ISG or other English-speaking sections of this 4th international doesn’t have too many ‘youth’ at the moment who might have been able to read this through beforehand and said “eh?”?

Whatever the answer is, I hope whoever did this translation wasn’t involved in any way in the proofreading of Kautsky book, but if s/he was, I can understand the decision to withdraw it… 🙂

  3. Also: “a hood is the only means of stopping the AIDS”. Here the comrades are right: generations of working class activists know that the wearing of cagouls will prevent most sexually transmitted diseases, indeed they will prevent most sexual activities from occuring at all!

I also find it a bit strange (Tuesday’s edition) that the camp catering was done by supporters of the PCF.

  4. Oh, god, my stomach hurts from laughing. Back in the very old days, at the first youth camp [1984] (and the third, I went to that one, too, in 1986) we just got on with it, as I recall. Good god, that was before condoms — by a year or so. I mean, they existed, but we didn’t know that AIDS did.

Wow. I sort of want an expose of who wrote it. I suspect the Dutch.

  5. i read out KMS’s comment to an SR youth (the source of Liam’s scoop) who commented that the English delegation didn’t have a chance to proofread this issue of the camp newspaper, which was produced in a last minute rush. I suspect the French JCR’s hand in this particular article (eg she-cat = chatte, etc) This looks like a v literal French-English translation from the babelfish site, mangling the attempted witty elegance of the original French. A warning to us all.

By all accounts, KMS, the PCF catering was bloody marvellous. Until our ass.

  6. ‘who commented that the English delegation didn’t have a chance to proofread this issue of the camp newspaper,’

“This” issue? The rest are just as bad, apart from the articles written by the SSP or ISG delegations (and therefore written in English). The PDFs are all on the camp website (link via the LCR website), they contain the same basic errors in each issue. I think the main problem is that the “camp daily newspaper” was surely produced weeks in advance. It’s not as if there are reports of what happened the day before, comments on debates or other events, a ‘personals’ small-ad column… I would have thought that such a camp newspaper would be a good exercise on producing comment/debate articles or reports for young comrades in attendance. Unfortunately it was little more than an agenda with articles where various delegations introduce themselves (or, as the German RSB delegation did, write pretty blandly on German politics without mentioning themselves or the make up of their delegation at all).

There was also an interview with one “young comrade” whose first youth camp was in 1984 (sic)! Assuming the comrade was 15 at the time, he’d now be knocking-on 40. And I thought only Stalinists kept the “youth cut-off point” going on to near-retirement.

And re. the PCF catering: your point is? Mine was political. Why is a Trot youth camp paying for catering whose proceeds go towards funding a coach for PCF members and supporters to go to the Fete de L’Humanité? Isn’t that a bit strange? Or are the LCR hoping that (younger) sections of the PCF and their periphery will join any new broader anti-capitalist party and this is one (nice, not very political way) of getting in touch with them?

  7. You have valid points about the way the paper was produced but the average age at youth camps is usually 21 or 22! This year I understand was no exception. So no cheap carping please. As for the PCF catering, of course your point was political. My point was – lighten up and try not to be so shocked. Of course the LCR hopes that some PCF rank and file will get involved in the new anti-capitalist party. ‘Nice’ ways of cementing links have their place alongside more political ways.

This seems a rather limited ambition, surely any successful broad left party in France must look for substantial inute from the PCF.

Yet it seesm that the approach of the LCR majority has been to create preconditions that almost a priori exclude the PF and its supporters

  9. Andrew: I don’t know, but I’ll assume you’re in the ISG. I don’t understand your point that my constructive criticism of the youth camp paper is “cheap carping” or the relevance of the information that the “average age is uaually 21 or 22”. That’s what I’d expect (and not 38) – so I don’t see why the paper can’t be produced by the comrades present. It’d be a damn sight more interesting and politically useful if those comrades – average age 21 or 22 – produced it themselves. Are you trying to suggest that the comrades present aren’t capable of writing articles? If so, god only help this 4th international.

And re the PCF…. “lighten up”, you say. What about the point I was making and the question? Is it politically healthy, or even politically sane, for a “Trotskyist” youth camp to be partly funding a Stalinist organisation? I’m glad it tasted nice, by the way. No aftertaste?

  10. KMS – the newspaper is produced by the youth comrades themselves. No aftertaste, I’m sure. We’re not in the 1930s. Reportedly the good food helped the political discussion flow much better – we shouldn’t be surprised at that, as materialists. On the other hand… I remember a friend was hungry one day and had no money. Luckily he was buttonholed by some people from an org called the Spartacists, who were clearly flush with American money and wanted to recruit him. They offered him lunch and he munched away as they delivered their spiel. He then got up, thanked them and walked out. So supplying food doesn’t always produce the intended political result. Never mind.
