BBC’s Question Time is fairly dire. It mostly seems to be a Tory enemy of the working class not finding too much of substance to disagree with while some New Labourite drones on. A Lib Dem occasionally say somethingimage not  too offensive as a former drummer from Status Quo makes you wonder what the BBC is playing at by having him as a panellist. Well that’s how it seems to me but like most of my opinions it’s based on not much more than seething prejudice and a short attention span.

It promises to be a bit more interesting this week. The programme’s site says of Welsh Assembly member Leanne Wood: “A socialist and republican, in December 2004 she was the first Assembly member to be ordered out of the chamber for referring to the Queen as “Mrs Windsor” during a debate. She later said: “I don’t recognise the Queen. I called her that because that’s her name.” Excellent!

Here’s hoping she gets asked back again.

  1. That’s an appalling breach of protocol. She’s Mrs Mountbatten, or else Ms Windsor. Tsk!

  2. Nuh-uh, it’s Mrs Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Her grandson’s called actually Harry Hewitt but less said the better.

  3. Leanne Wood’s definitely not a revolutionary or a socialist, though her Bridge to the Future blog…..

the fact that she is relatively radical just shows up how awful Q Time is…
as for Liam’s fawning over her, that could be a sign of what may be in the future for the ISG (if that still exists) x-trotkyists
