I’m consistently shocked by the lack of interest the left is showing about what is happening in Sri Lanka. There is an online petition you can sign here if you want to do the bare minimum. Socialist Resistance has something in the pipeline. Meanwhile the Socialist Party’s  Tamil Solidarity Campaign is having a meeting on Saturday 17 October 2009 at 5pm in Queen Mary’s University. The  nearest tube is Mile End.

In the meantime this meeting next week has a legal and human rights emphasis and it’s the first sign of liberal opinion doing anything.
