Below is the text of an e mail which is doing the rounds with its original capitalisation unchanged. It seems to be from an organisation called Fair Access To Employment.

Even though February 3rd is not that far away there doesn’t seem to be any publicity for the planned industry wide march available anywhere. The website to which it refers has links to several unions and the sentence “In the words of Prime Minister Gordon Brown himself “BRITISH JOBS FOR BRITISH WORKERS”

It all makes for a strange and slightly disturbing amalgam, as if someone is trying to juggle two conflicting sensibilities. Does anyone out there know anything else about it?

Fair Access To Employment
Our FATE matters to us all
The Engineering Construction Industry will be MARCHING IN LONDON ON FEBRUARY 3rd, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Lindsey Oil Refinery (LOR) dispute

Despite that broadly supported industrial action, which brought engineering construction sites to a halt across the country, things have
not changed:

Discrimination against British workers continues, British jobs on British rates of pay.

Exploitation of migrant workers continues, with Spanish and Polish workers still being underpaid (1300 euros less per month) on UK sites

Youth unemployment is at record levels

The ECIA (Engineering Construction Industry Association) is failing to adhere to the newly renegotiated national agreement for the industry(NAECI)

Further information will be published soon on www.thebearfacts.co.uk

Please pass this to ALL in your contacts, to contribute to the fight for our industry
