Health Emergency has produced an excellent edition of its paper Health Emergency’, which will be an extremely useful resource in our campaigns to fight for the NHS.  This is not just a fight for Health union branches – it affects us all.  Get your local union, campaign or community organisation to consider affiliating to Health Emergency and buying copies of the latest bulletin.

It covers:

• The NHS White Paper in some detail – including 10 reasons why to reject it. 
• Foundation Trusts and social enterprises and the end of a national NHS except as a ‘brand name’.
• The proposed cuts in the NHS – including the role of US management consultants McKinsey’s.
• The proposed pay freeze and ‘review’ of (attack on) the NHS pension scheme.
• Information on what’s happening to mental health services – and campaigns to defend them.

Any union branch which is affiliated to Health Emergency will get 35 copies free.
