It’s another multi-media economics spectacular.

The slideshow is the notes from a talk given by Raphie De Santos a supporter of Socialist Resistance in the Scottish Socialist Party.

The video is Sean Thompson of the Green Left and soi-disant Renaissance man putting some bones on what an ecosocialist response to the crisis might be, including the idea of a zero growth economy. It’s a companion piece to Ozlem’s introduction which I posted a couple of days ago.

Ever the optimist Sean made the point that the British left at the beginning of the 20th century was “at least as useless as it is today” but that it got its act together in the face of big events. He held out the hope that something similar might happen.

The laughter for no obvious reason is where I chopped out a rude bit.
