Here’s an event that we are organising to help raise a couple of quid. The last time Ken did an event for us it was in a cinema at Mile End and it was filled to capacity. This place holds about 200 and we should easily repeat the success. For those of the drinking persuasion I’d suggest not having too much in the restuarant. It’s £4 for a bottle of lager. Better to wait till afterwards and repair to the Pride of Spitalfields.

One response to “An evening with Ken Loach”

  1. Man, I wish I could go to that. That’s two events in a row that sound good. Something about you leninists… you do manage to create interesting events. Why is that hard for us in the Bay Area, in Solidarity? Because it is. Then again, it may be that any event in London is somewhat more interesting in my mind. There was an excellent sounding series of Pride events in Newham last year, for example.
