As chance would have it I was able to get to this event. There were 40 plus in the audience. You couldn’t disagree with anything said by any of the platform speakers. The worst received of the evening’s contributions was mine suggesting that a new class struggle political formation was one of the things that the current situation required. Not so long ago this was a view that was widely held by several of the other people in the room.
Only change is constant.

In Clapton Station yesterday ther was a leaflet calling on people to contact Hackney Council to protest against a planning application to turn the Tram Depot Workshops at the bottom of Upper Clapton Road into a six story office development.
