imageJust days before its conference strong proof that the Left Alternative is flourishing as a standalone organisation comes from this week’s issue of Socialist Worker. The event does not get a mention even in the events diary. Any parent knows that there comes a moment when the young have to strike out for themselves and it’s not always easy to get it right.

If you were unlucky enough to be on last year’s Campaign Against Climate Change march in December you will remember how cold, wet and miserable it was. So we should be grateful to the organisers of the one day Marxism Conference which is happening at the same time as this year’s climate change demo on Saturday December 6th 2008. It’s good that they are offering an option in case the weather this year is as inclement as 2007 but darn them for spoiling us with the agony of choice.
