Outrageous! Wot like your lot?
Though it is interesting that under “About Abjol” we read:It was also as a youth that Abjol became engaged with community activism, volunteering and mentoring.
Doesn’t mention what community activist group he was involved with. Wasn’t there one called the Something Forum Europe?LikeLike

Perhaps you should talk to Andrew Gilligan – he’s always interested in talking to people like you who keep a close eye on that kind of stuff.

That’s different, Skidders. We’re a real party. So we can do things like that. But Respect can’t.

Dozeyindalston – are you seriously suggesting that Respect won’t romp home in three constituencies at least in May, force the discredited New Labout fatcats to withdraw from their foreign wars and stop their attacks on our people and replace all the tired old left wing groups as the only radical force in Britain? You sir have no dreams.
tony collins – there was a scene in a sitcom I saw recently, I think it may have been Neil Patrick Harris playing Barney in How I Met Your Mother who said: “When you watch reruns of Gilligan’s Island, do you really really think they’re going to get off this time?”

I’m not a member of Respect but frankly any socialist looking at Abjol Miah’s policies here:
http://abjolmiah.com/policies.html
and then going on to post the usual scare stories about Islamic activism or snide comments about Respect’s aspirations to make some kind of difference really is a hopeless sectarian.

Jay – there are no hopeless sectarians reading this site. Tsk! If you walk around Bethnal Green you’ll see that posters have started appearing advising Muslims that casting a vote is a one way ticket to Hell. There are fringe groups which would like to turn the clock back 1500 years but it’s just not credible to maintain that these are represented in Respect. The programme on Abjol’s site puts him significantly to the left of many Labour candidates and no one forced him to put it there.

Nice to see Skidmarx still sticking to the failed Operation Wreckpsect even as his own beloved sect collapses about his ears. Don’t you just love it when a true cynic gets f***ed over by reality.

David Ellis – I thought your position was that anyone who acknowledged reality is a brazen chauvinist?

Skidmarx and David – if you want a slanging match do it somewhere else. I will delete any personal remarks.
