Respect’s annual party conference will take place on Saturday 13 November 2010 from 10.00am to 6.00pm at the University of London Union building in Malet Street, London.
The conference will be open to all members and supporters of Respect on payment of a delegates fee. This level of this fee will be decided at the National Council to be held on 11th September and registration will then be made available online at www.respectparty.org .
More details of the conference agenda will be included in the next edition of Respect Quarterly.
National Council
The deadline for nominations to National Council is 18 September 2010. Those wishing to nominate themselves for the National Council – which meets around six times a year – must be paid up members of Respect on the day of the deadline. Members who pay a national standing order to the party are automatically re-registered.
This year, in line with a decision of the 2009 conference, the National Council will be elected by both regional elections and at the national conference. More details for nominees are contained on the nomination form.
Motions and amendments
The deadline for motions for the conference is midnight on 8 October 2010 while that for amendments is midnight on 6 November 2010.
Motions may be submitted by any Respect branch or by six members. Branches may submit up to 2 motions. Members may put their names to a maximum of two motions.
Motions and subsequent amendments will be published on the national Respect party website.
